Key Ingredients: Epsom Salts, Minerals, Almond Oil, Essential Oils
Soaking in the bath is the ideal time to exfoliate, the skin is softened by the water, which ensures dulling dead skin cells are removed with ease.
Epsom salts offer a deep yet gentle natural exfoliation, held in a base of sweet almond oil to intensively nourish dry skin, whilst the beautiful aromas of essential oils of Ylang Ylang, Patchouli and Grapefruit turn your bathroom into an exotic spa.
Epsom salts are comprised of magnesium and sulphates which can have some amazing benefits if you use them correctly. The first little known fact is that the magnesium sulphate found in Epsom salt is actually absorbed through your skin! When we feel stressed, the levels of magnesium in our body deplete but Epsom Salts help replenish the magnesium when we pour them into a warm bath and simply soak. Many athletes use Epsom salt to help their bodies recover.Directions: Step into a bath tub and dampen your skin first (or soak in the bath first). Put a spoonful of the body scrub into your palms or your glove and then rub the mixture all over your body in circular motions. Rinse thoroughly. Do not use on broken skin.
Magnesium Sulphate (Epsom Salts), Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond Oil), Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Oil, Cananga Odorata (Ylang Ylang) Oil, Styrax Benzoin Resin Oil, Pogostemon Cablin (Patchouli) Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, *Limonene, *Linalool, *Geraniol, *Benzyl Cinnamate, *Benzyl Benzoate (*occurs naturally in essential oils)
Judy McGlashan from London, London United Kingdom This smells delicious, and leaves your skin feeling soft. Would have liked it to be a bit more of a paste, so it stays on your skin longer. It dissolves rather easily and is hard to keep on the skin long enough to scrub with it.
Hi Judy, many thanks for your valuable feedback! I use this scrub myself regularly and it does make the skin ever so soft :-) The reason why you might find it does not stay on as long, is because I set the benchmark for sensitive skin products very high and only use a certain grain size, not too coarse and not too fine, so customers' skin won't get irritated by scrubbing. This means also that the grains will disolve probably slightly quicker. Make sure that you don't dampen your skin too much and only use one spoon of salts at a time.
Charlotte from Lincolnshire these body salts leave your skin feeling super smooth and nourished. its ideal if you're in a rush and wont have time to moisturize your body after a shower. leaves your skin literally silky smooth to the touch, and if you do moisturise after with gerlindes whipped shea cream be prepared to have the softest skin on the planet. .. It doesn't get much better than this ladies (and gents! my hubby now uses my body cream! !!!)
REVIEW by Lisa Bramley on ‘Platform 505’ - The Thinking Woman’s Website.Soaking in the bath is the ideal time to exfoliate, the skin is softened by the water, which ensures dulling dead skin cells are removed with ease. Epsom salts offer a deep yet gentle natural exfoliation, held in a base of sweet almond oil to intensively nourish dry skin, whilst added essential oils of vanilla, patchouli and grapefruit turn your bathroom into an exotic spa. Moisturising your body on a daily basis is such an important beauty ritual; Post bath or shower is the ideal time to moisturise; if you’ve body brushed or exfoliated, your skin is more receptive to the ingredients that follow, ensuring you receive 100% of the beauty benefits.
