Information

Key Active Ingredients

Hazelnut Oil
Jojoba Oil
Prickly Pear Seed Oil
Safflower Oil
Bisabolol
Co-Enzyme Q10

Made from 100% pure plant-based ingredients, the Rebalancing Face Oil is especially designed for combination/oily and spot prone skin to help rebalance and hydrate your skin.
The Rebalancing Face Oil contains astringent Hazelnut Oil, which softens and tightens the skin while being non-comedogenic, meaning it won't clog your pores.
It has a non-greasy feel with a very fine texture that soothes and seals in moisture to prevent dehydration.
With regular use, this Rebalancing Face Oil nourishes and refines the skin also with Jojoba Oil and Prickly Pear Seed Oil, leaving it supple and satiny soft. It helps your skin find balance and avoid overcompensation by trying to produce more oils.

The Bisabolol and Co-enzyme Q10 in the Rebalancing Face Oil have anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial properties and also help your skin cells to be more efficient in flushing out toxins like free radicals and healing the damage they cause.

The fragranced version contains delicious Rose Geranium and Palmarosa Essential Oils, which  have anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties.

*product contains Nut Oil (Hazelnut)

DIRECTIONS

Shake bottle well before you use the Face Oil. You will need about 2 to 3 drops per application for your face and probably a drop or two more for the neck area. Use gentle outward and upward movements. If you are using this Face Oil in the mornings, leave it on for 10 minutes and blot off the residue before you apply your make-up.
You can use it however you please - in place of moisturiser, over or under moisturiser, layered with serums, or mixed with your favourite day moisturiser to keep skin calm and balanced.

PS: If you have acne-prone skin or oily skin, it might sound counterintuitive to add a face oil to your regime but Face oils are emollients, which means they add a protective barrier, locking in moisture and are soothing. This can benefit any skin type, including sensitive skin and skin prone to breakouts. The benefits of using the right face oils for oily skin include balancing oil production and adding astringent properties.

INGREDIENT PROFILES

  • HAZELNUT OIL
Although it is an astringent (skin tightening and toning), it is different from the alcohol-based astringents you often see in the skin care aisle. Alcohol-based astringents can be harsh and can dry out or irritate your skin. Hazelnut Oil is a natural, alcohol-free astringent that does not cause irritation.
Hazelnut Oil’s high number of essential fatty acids and vitamin E also make it a very effective moisturiser for dehydrated skin.
This lovely oil is very light and easily absorbed, leaving a non-greasy feeling. Suitable for use on all skin types, Hazelnut Oil can be particularly beneficial for oily and combination skin. The oil is non comedogenic so will not block the pores.

  • JOJOBA OIL
Traditionally held in high regard by Native Americans in the Sonora Desert, is as a vital ingredient in this formulation. It will sink rapidly into your skin for extra moisture, allowing your skin to breathe and can significantly soften your skin by reducing transepidermal water loss (TEWL).
The high levels of Eicosenoic Acid (Omega 9 Fatty Acid) in Jojoba Oil means that it balances the oil levels in the skin, making it less oily. As it is non-greasy, non-comedogenic, it will not block the skins’ pores.
When Jojoba Oil is used in the facial products, it can soften the acneic sebum plugs and allow the pores to expel blackheads.

  • PRICKLY PEAR SEED OIL
Prickly Pear Seed Oil has remarkably high levels of Omega 6 (Linoleic acid) and tocopherols and absorbs easily and quickly into the skin, improving the skin’s elasticity. It can also help to encourage the production of collagen thus giving the skin a plumper appearance and decreasing the depth of lines and wrinkles. It can help to protect the skin from modern environmental stress such as extended use of computers in dry, centrally heated offices and has soothing, calming, anti-inflammatory properties. Prickly Pear Seed Oil can help to reduce dark skin pigmentation and marks, lightens hyper pigmentation or dark marks.
Regular use of this Prickly Pear Seed Oil can help to keep the skin smooth and firm, giving the skin a natural luminescence.

  • SAFFLOWER OIL
is especially suited for very dry skin which is in need of moisture and soothing. The rich Linoleic and Oleic acid content (Omega 9, 6 and 3 Essential Fatty Acids) helps to give an instant smooth feel to the skin. As an effective moisturiser, it maintains hydration levels in the skin thus improving the appearance and texture of the skin.
Safflower Oil is an excellent choice to use on acne prone skin. It is non comedogenic meaning that it does not block the pores.

  • BISABOLOL is the major active component of Chamomile. It has long been used in cosmetics for its anti-inflammatory, healing & soothing, anti-microbial properties and stimulating collagen production. It is particularly suited for sensitive skin where it protects from daily stress and the effects of pollution. Hyperpigmentation is reduced as Bisabolol helps to inhibit melanin production which is responsible for age spots.
  • CO-ENZYME Q10
Co-enzyme Q10 is a naturally produced enzyme and anti-oxidant, acting similar to Vitamin E and one of the most fundamental antioxidants. It is found in every human cell and in all living organisms by the name of “ubiquinone”.
Amongst many other benefits, Coenzyme Q10 helps reduce damage of free radicals as CoQ10 aids in cell activity. It also means that your cells can be more efficient in flushing out toxins like free radicals and healing the damage they cause.
It also evens out skin tone. CoQ10 works to block tyrosinase, which helps with the production of melanin, which means that CoQ10 can help fade and prevent dark spots.

BENEFITS OF FACIAL OILS

  • My plant based Face Oils work on every skin type as they nourish, re-balance skin and restore a naturally healthy complexion. Whether you have oily, combination or dry skin, by regularly applying a Face Oil, your skin will re-balance to reveal calm, clear and healthy looking complexion. A perfect base for make-up.
  • Face Oils glide onto the skin and encourage facial massage. Massaging your face has plenty of benefits – it relaxes and tones the muscles which helps to sculpt facial contours, removes stress and tension in the face, boosts blood flow and awakens the senses. By massaging the oil into your skin you are also pushing the skin-boosting ingredients deeper into the epidermis.
  • Face Oils give skin a gorgeously plump and dewy glow – the type that is always seen on the runways and red carpets but is so hard to replicate. Simply massage a Face Oil into your skin every evening before bed and in the mornings to achieve a radiant and healthy glow.
  • If you’re scared of using a Face Oil, you can gently ease yourself into using one by simply adding a couple of drops to your night cream and day cream to give your skin an extra surge of nourishment but without committing to applying the oil directly to your skin. Even by adding a couple of drops to your day and night cream is enough to notice the benefits to your skin.
  • My Face Oils contain only high quality specialist oils that support your skins' needs - I do not use any inexpensive base ingredients to bulk out the product.
My Tip: in general, the first 2 to 3 ingredients on a skin care product label are the main ingredients and have to be listed in highest to lowest amount used. For instance if you read sunflower oil, palm oil, fractionated coconut oil or even sweet almond oil as part of the first 2 to 3 ingredients, this would make the inexpensive and inferior bulk of a face oil.
