Its water-soluble, non-comedogenic formula rinses off effortlessly, without leaving an oily residue, and effectively lifts away makeup and impurities. Skin is left feeling refreshed, purified, soft and looks radiant.
The cleanser works to restore vital hydration and maintains a healthy moisture balance.
My Oil-to-Milk Cleanser is also available FRAGRANCE FREE but should you opt for the Cleanser with Essential Oils, it contains lovely refreshing and citrusy notes of Lemon, Mandarin, Lime and Palmarosa.
NB If you suffer with spots or acne, the most important thing is to keep your skin clean with a good Cleansing Oil which does not strip the skin of its natural oils like harsh foamy face washes or alcohol based cleansers do. There is absolutely no need to avoid oils when you have acne, quite the contrary. Oil Cleansers loosen "bad" oils on the basis of oil-dissolve-oil and calm your skin. When for example oily skin gets stripped off its natural oils with harsh cleansers, it dries too much and your skin then tries to repair itself and produces even more oil (read more in my Blog Post about Acne and Spots).
What Facialist Elizabeth Charlton, Hada Holistic Skin Therapies (or Instagram @hadatherapies), has to say about my facial cleanser:
I recently wrote an ode to oil based cleansers on my stories. I love them so much, especially those that properly emulsify, like this one from Gerlinde Naturals.
When you are really rushed for time in the morning, an oil cleanser is great for when you have woken up feeling a bit lacklustre and maybe a bit puffy.
I like to use an oil cleanser when I want to do a quick facial massage whilst cleansing. This allows me to mobilise the facial muscles and just get everything moving in the morning. I like to focus on my jawline and under my eyes. I feel brighter and more awake afterwards.
I'd always recommend an oil that turns into an emulsion. Why? after massaging the skin and breaking down any overnight oil build up, it's nice to know that a milky emulsion is washing that away. It's also like a very quick double cleanse ( don't quote me on that!).
It's an easy way to take care of yourself when you are late to work, doing the school run, poorly or just have very little energy.
DIRECTIONS
Shake well before each use. Pump some oil (max. the size of a pound coin) into dry hands, then gently massage into dry skin to dissolve make-up, dirt and other impurities. Splash skin with warm water, continue to massage to emulsify into a milk. Rinse thoroughly and pat face dry.
INGREDIENT PROFILES
- ORGANIC SAFFLOWER SEED OIL
is especially suited for very dry skin which is in need of moisture and soothing. The rich Linoleic and Oleic acid content (Omega 9, 6 and 3 Essential Fatty Acids) helps to give an instant smooth feel to the skin. - GRAPESEED OIL
is very moisturising, nourishing and light because of its high linoleic acid content, Omega-6 essential fatty acid; it absorbs very quickly, has natural non-allergenic properties and is known for its astringent (skin tightening and toning) properties. - CALENDULA OIL
Herbalists value Calendula as a healer and it has been widely used as a remedy since ancient times. It is an infusion of Marigold flowers and has been applied topically in popular medicine for slow healing wounds, bed sores, bruises, cuts, scratches, inflammations, eczema, ulcers and burns. Calendula is also recognised as an effective astringent and therefore has a tightening effect on the skin.
