INGREDIENT PROFILES

• CACAY OIL
  Cold pressed from wild cacay nuts harvested in the Colombian jungle from the Kahai nut trees. The cultivation and harvesting of the cacay nuts is helping to improve the lives of low-income families in the Amazon Regions of South America.  Families are gathering the nuts which have fallen from trees or planting their own trees to harvest and sell the nuts,  The extraction process is also designed to be waste-free, with the remains of pressed Cacay nut shells often used to make cooking flour or nut milk and the inner peel used as cattle feed or fertiliser. 
  Cacay Oil, dubbed the Amazonian Gold, deeply moisturises and helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Studies show that it contains 50% more vitamin E and twice the amount of Linoleic Acid than Argan Oil as well as 3 times more Retinol (a form of Vitamin A) than Rose Hip Oil, giving it powerful anti-aging properties. Retinol is a well-known antioxidant that aids in activating the skin’s natural renewal process and rebuild/replenish skin tissue, visibly reducing the appearance of wrinkles while keeping the skin nice and smooth.
  Cacay Oil can help soothe irritated areas, fade scarring and unblock pores, helping to encourage healthy skin cell regeneration and reduce the appearance of conditions such as acne.
  It quickly absorbs to help improve the signs of ageing day or night. This oil is outstanding when it comes to nourishing and reviving the skin. 
• PRICKLY PEAR SEED OIL
  Prickly pear, also known as barbary fig and cactus pear, is a member of the cactus family. Prickly Pear Seed Oil is extracted from the seeds of the fruit of the Opuntia ficus indica cactus which is native to Mexico and South America, but is now grown in many areas of the world, including Southern Africa, Australia, United States of America, Tunisia and Morocco.
  Prickly Pear Seed Oil has remarkably high levels of Omega 6 (Linoleic acid) and tocopherols and absorbs easily and quickly into the skin, improving the skin’s elasticity. It can also help to encourage the production of collagen thus giving the skin a plumper appearance and decreasing the depth of lines and wrinkles. It can help to protect the skin from modern environmental stress such as extended use of computers in dry, centrally heated offices and has soothing, calming, anti-inflammatory properties. Prickly Pear Seed Oil can help to reduce dark skin pigmentation and marks, lightens hyper pigmentation or dark marks.
• MICROALGAE BLEND (supplier ingredient profile)
  Highly concentrated in carotenoids, essential fatty acids and sterols that have an impressive effect on the skin. Tests showed the capacity to stimulate cellular proliferation which significantly increased collagen synthesis by 19.3%.
  Powerful anti wrinkle actives strongly stimulate production of structural skin proteins.
  The Extracts help to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles especially around the eyes. They restore the skin’s natural elasticity and radiance and have soothing and anti-inflammatory properties.
  Microalgae Extracts also help to prevent stress induced damage to the skin and restore balance to skin.
  Chronic stress, sleep deprivation, fatigue and pollution alter both the HPA and SAM axis, which causes the appearance of tired and stressed skin. Microalgae Extracts inhibit these two key neurotransmitters creating a relaxed skin appearance and eluding premature ageing signals.
• SPILANTHES ACMELLA FLOWER EXTRACT (supplier ingredient profile)
  Proven to restructure, firm and smooth the skin on the face and body. It is an extract of a South African plant called Spilanthes Acmella and increases the density and elasticity of the skin and gives a smoothing of the surface of the skin. It smooths out wrinkles and crows feet and strengthens the collagen matrix. An ideal pre-moisturising extract to give smooth skin before applying makeup.
• JOJOBA OIL
  traditionally held in high regard by Native Americans in the Sonora Desert, is as a vital ingredient in this formulation. It will sink rapidly into your skin for extra moisture, allowing your skin to breathe, and can significantly soften your skin by reducing transepidermal water loss.
• OLIVE SQUALANE 
  is an excellent moisturiser, extremely compatible with the skin and is therefore safe for all skin types and a great choice for its regenerative effect. Its compatibility with skin lipids can be attributed to the fact that human sebum is made up of 12% Squalane. Dehydrated and ultra-sensitive skin benefits greatly from the use of this Elixir.
• We use pure ORGANIC ROSEHIP SEED OIL, which is a wonderful hydrator and penetrates the skin immediately without leaving a greasy residue since it is considered a “dry” oil. Rosehip Seed Oil contains Vitamin E and C which has nearly equal percentages of Alpha-Linolenic and Linoleic Acids, a good source of Omega 3 and Omega 6 essential fatty acids, trans-retinoic acid (precursor of Vitamin A) and therefore promotes collagen formation and increases elastin.

• If you’re scared of using a Face Oil, you can gently ease yourself into using one by simply adding a couple of drops to your night cream and day cream to give your skin an extra surge of nourishment but without committing to applying the oil directly to your skin. Even by adding a couple of drops to your day and night cream is enough to notice the benefits to your skin.
• My Face Oils contain only high quality specialist oils that support your skins' needs - I do not use any inexpensive base ingredients to bulk out the product.
  My Tip: in general, the first 2 to 3 ingredients on a skin care product label are the main ingredients and have to be listed in highest to lowest amount used. For instance if you read sunflower oil, palm oil, fractionated coconut oil or even sweet almond oil as part of the first 2 to 3 ingredients, this would make the inexpensive and inferior bulk of a face oil.​
